Rose Electronics Ltd. has always believed strongly in the research and development of new concepts and ideas. This section of our website is designed to give you constant updates of new products and developments that we are launching - such as ExiVision!

What is ExiVision?

ExiVision is a family of products which is designed for the Digital Signage world, and which facilitate the distribution of Audio and Video signals over cat5, 6 or 7 cable structures.

We will be officially launching ExiVision at IBC in Amsterdam, Europe's largest broadcast exhibition.  IBC takes place at the RAI between 7th and 11th September 2007.

Come and see us and Exivision on Stand 120 in Hall 10.

ExiVision HVW

Hardware video wall/Video art-tile solution

ExiVision HVW is a hardware video processing system with the ability to
display video signals from one or more sources across a canvas which can
be made up of multiple display monitors of any type. ExiVision HVW supports
both digital (DVI etc.)  and analog (VGA, RGB etc.)  inputs and outputs.

ExiVision HVW is a modular chassis based (1U format) video concentration, switching
and display system. Each chassis supports two outputs (video ports) which are full
DVI-D ports, so can support either digital or analogue monitors or projectors.

The master chassis contains an inbuilt application which controls as many slave chassis as needed to support the required number of monitors for any application.

  • A bigger Canvas!

A wall of any number of screens or projectors can be controlled by ExiVision HVW. A video source can be enlarged across multiple screens to provide a conventional video wall.

  •  ART-tiling
Video Art-tiling can also be achieved – this is a freestyle concept which allows single or multiple video sources to be displayed across various projection media – LCDs, TV, front or rear projectors etc. in any mix to build a really compelling, multi-dimensional display.

  •  Video Spotlighting
Part of any video signal can be enlarged to provide a zoom feature – ideal for concert monitoring or sports programming.

  • Digital Signage
ExiVision HVW is an ideal tool for creating displays if all types for public areas.  ExiVision HVW can turn simple information display systems at stations or airports into flexible video wall areas at the touch of a button. Art-tiling can help to create window displays which will capture and hold attention. Used in conjunction with structured cable extension products display set-ups can be repeated throughout any site.

  • A truly flexible tool

ExiVision HVW has a wide range of possible applications, including surveillance, process control centers, control rooms, digital signage, sports and event monitoring, at fairs and exhibitions as well as in retail stores and other sales environments.

  • It’s just hardware!

ExiVision HVW does not rely on a dedicated video server, so any

source of video you wish to use, computers, DVD players, TV inputs etc.can be mixed at display level, without affecting the integrity of the source. No software is necessary to work with ExiVision HVW.

  • It’s bright!

When ExiVision HVW enlarges a video signal across several screens, gaps

between displays are correctly “filled” meaning that all parts of a fragmented

image are displayed in correct relative positions.

 What is Xtensys?

Xtensys is a universal console switch enabling access to and control of any number of computers of any type by one or several operators locally or remotely.

How does Xtensys work?

Xtensys uses any commonly deployed structured cable, cat5, 6 or 7, so can be installed easily and economically into any Network room or any building. The Xtensys switch is installed into a rack, and miniature Xtensys adapters are attached to the keyboard/mouse (typically PS/2 or USB) and video ports of the computers to be controlled. Cat 5 cables then connect the computers into the Xtensys switch.  A keyboard, video monitor and mouse can now be connected into the Xtensys switch and from that a User can access any connected computer. Further users can be added to the system by connecting Xtensys User stations (again over structured cable) anywhere in the building as needed.

As soon as a user selects a computer Xtensys will electronically measure the total length of the cable between User (KVM) and target (CPU or serial device), report the length to the User and then automatically equalize the video for maximum clarity. At the same time Xtensys will measure the temperature at the CPU will then continue to monitor temperature, voltage and uptime, reporting those parameters back to Xtensys’ status log.

Xtensys can handle serial devices as well as conventional servers, so items such as routers, switches, mains PDUs and telephony equipment can all be managed within an Xtensys system – Xtensys gives total rack control from a single access point.

How secure is Xtensys?

Xtensys can be fine tuned so that only authorized Users can access devices to which an administrator has given them access rights

Using Xtensys

The built in OSD and hot-key system allow a User to select a computer using simple keyboard commands or from a sortable list and switch to it instantly.
