The VistaView Advantage

VistaView offers the most space-effective and efficient way to control server rooms and multiple computers. VistaView is a 1U rack mountable KVM console drawer with a back-mounted KVM switch.

This easy-glide KVM console drawer contains a 1024 x 768 (15?) or 1280 x 1024 (17?) high resolution LCD monitor, tactile keyboard and a high resolution touch screen mouse. The unit is concealed behind its front panel when not in use.

Designed for plug-and-play operation, VistaView simplifies your job by helping you organise multiple computer applications. Because VistaView uses a single KVM workstation to access several computers, you can significantly reduce your equipment overhead and gain space.

VistaView allows you to access either two, four, or eight computers. PC and Unix computers can easily be accessed, monitored and controlled locally using VistaView in the computer room.

Vista L-series

These units are available in 4-port and 8-port in a wider chassis. It is also steel and rackmountable. There is an on-screen display (OSD) option. This option allows you to configure the switch form the OSD and to program the names of your computers. When you switch to a computer the name in programmable colour, position, and font is shown. You can also select a computer by name and switch to it. There is also a built-in screen saver and many more features.

Video

All Vista models have very high resolution capability and support VGA video beyond 1600 x 1280 non-interlaced. Keyboard, mouse and video signals can be driven up to 1,000 feet using our CrystalView extenders.

Keyboard and Mouse

All Vista models support full emulation of keyboard and mouse, computers can be booted at any time. There is full support for all operating systems such as Windows 95/98/NT/2000, Linux, and those on Unix workstations, such as IBM AIX and HP/UX. The computer's mouse type can be PS/2, PS/2 wheel, or serial type.

Vista commands

All Vista models support switching from the keyboard with easy to use commands. In addition all Vista models support the following commands: switch to next computer, scan mode on and off , set scan time interval, set video blank interval, keyboard and mouse reset, reset computer mouse, resync computer mouse, set typematic rate and delay, identify firmware version, set computer keyboard mode, change computer mouse type (PS/2, PS/2 wheel, or serial), and save setting in non-volatile memory. In addition the models with OSD support OSD configuration and switching with OSD.
